Our Events
This concert series offers a platform for emerging musicians to build their confidence and refine their skills. It gives them the chance to perform a Carnatic music concert in front of our supportive community of listeners.
One of our flagship events, Vaggeya Vaibhavam typically features a segment showcasing up-and-coming Australian artists in a nurturing environment. This is followed by a full-length concert by internationally acclaimed musicians, offering a unique opportunity to experience the diversity of Carnatic music.
This special event honours Sri Muthuswami Dikshitar, one of the most celebrated composers in Carnatic music. The day features renditions of his timeless and revered compositions, bringing his musical legacy to life.
Pallavi Arangam is an event dedicated to preserving the intricate and challenging art of Pallavi singing. Performers are evaluated by an expert in the field, ensuring the highest standards in the execution of this complex musical tradition.
Since Karpahavalli’s founding in 2007, thematic Carnatic music productions were a hallmark of our events. After a hiatus, we brought this tradition back with DevÄ«. Presented in a concert-style structure, this production features a thoughtfully curated blend of beloved, well-known compositions alongside rarer gems – all highlighting the beauty of Tamil compositions in honour of Åšakti.
